Bet on Local

Last year I was in Paris, invited to speak in front of an auditorium some of the audience was art students in game dev and VFX schools.

The art curator running the interview asked me what advice I would have to give. Here's a version of what I said, edited for clarity:

Don't wait to be chosen by hollywood or a video-game "industry" that never really existed outside of the LA and bay area venture capital spheres. Bet on what is local; your friends, your infrastructure, your means of production, your story.

À travers mon travail. L'objectif, ce n'est pas de convaincre les gens que le jeu vidéo, c'est de l'art. C'est avant tout montrer qu'il y a des artistes qui travaillent aux jeux vidéo.
